Junior Shamrocks in the Community
On Saturday, June 13, 2009 come out and join the Jr. A Shamrocks at the Cross Roads Bar and Grill for the second “Shamrock Festival” fundraiser event. Everyone is welcome and it will be held after the game against Burnaby. Have a bite to eat, meet some Jr. Shamrock players both past and present, bid on silent auction items and talk to some of the players and coaches as well as other fans. It promises to be a lot of fun and we hope to see you there.
A dance is tentatively being planned for Friday, July 3. More details will follow.
Really like lacrosse? Want to watch a lot of it? The three Shamrocks teams are planning a Shamrock weekend for June 26-28. Lots of fun things for the whole family starting off with the Sr. Shamrocks tailgate party on June 26. Food, beer garden, fun events, autographs will be available from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Bear Mountain Arena parking lot. Jr. and Intermediate players will be available to teach skills and work with young players. Follow that up by taking in the game as the Shamrocks host the Nanaimo Timbermen at 7:45. On Saturday you can watch both the Intermediate ‘A’ and Jr. Shamrocks. The visitors in both cases will be the Port Coquitlam Saints. Admission to the Intermediate game, which starts at 1:30 pm is by donation. This is an exciting level of lacrosse played by the top 17-18 year olds. Stick around after that and see the Jr. Shamrocks when they take to the floor for their second to last regular season home game. Game time for the Jr. game is 5:00 pm.
Fan Appreciation Night
Sunday, June 28 is the last regular season home game for the Jr. Shamrocks and as such it will be Fan Appreciation Night. New Westminster Salmonbellies will be the visitors. There will be extra prizes as well as the ever-present Frisbee-toss, 50/50 and program draws. Team pictures will be available for fans and the players will be available post-game to sign pictures, shirts or other items.
